Dr. Johansen

Dr. Brent Johansen is an outdoor enthusiast, and if it were possible to provide dental work on top of the Blue’s he would. This love for the outdoors has been passed on to his four children, four in-laws and sixteen grandchildren.

Dr. Johansen has served diligently in the scouting program for over 25 years. He has served as a scoutmaster, Wood Badge course director and San Juan District chairman. Although, scouting has taken a lot of his time, the change that it has made in the lives of young men all over San Juan County is well worth what he has given.

Dr. Johansen is also an avid fly fisherman, out fishing everyone in the family (his daughter-in-law has to cheat in order to out fish him). He enjoys taking his grandchildren to many of the local reservoirs, mainly to pass on this passion to them.

Dr. Johansen has been a supporter of the local ATV association, SPEAR.  He is also one of the founders of the San Juan Safari . The Safari has worked hard to help bring tourism and money to San Juan County. Since the onset of the Safari, Dr. Johansen has served as a committee member and a guide. Along with working with the Safari, Dr. Johansen has worked diligently to protect the public use of the land throughout San Juan County.
